Easily the best Thai food in Ann Arbor! I highly recommend their pad Thai, drunken noodles, green curry, and sticky mango rice. The food is extremely flavorful and authentic. I have yet to try their Thai iced tea - hoping to on my next visit. Service was friendly and efficient. Our food came out in well under 10 minutes. The ambiance inside is chill and casual. This is also a popular takeout restaurant. Will definitely be back!

The outside looks like a repurposed Arthur Treacher's and the inside is comfortable, without much style. Don't let the looks keep you away, though! We couldn't tell if we should seat ourselves or wait, so after a short conversation with each other on the topic, we were greeted and told where to sit. It was hard to make a choice because everything sounded delicious, but four of us decided to share four dishes. When the food was first delivered, we thought there would be tons of leftovers, but the food was so exceptional we ate every last drop. All but one of us chose medium spiced dishes, with one preferring a mild flavor. All spice lovers agreed that medium wasn't too strong. The mild dish was good, but we should have asked to add a little spice. I will definitely return.

The dishes were phenomenal! It was honestly the best Thai food with Halal chicken that I've had since I left NYC. My family and I came here on Monday and ordered medium plus spice. The restaurant ambience was more casual family restaurant style. The service was good and the food came out quickly. Just to note they already had gratuity added when we got the bill. Here's my thoughts on what we ordered (all dishes I'd order again): - Drunken noodles - the noodles were cooked to perfection and perfectly spiced. My dad loved them!!! - Sesame chicken - was delicious, and nice and saucy. Broccoli was cooked well. - Honey chicken - very good, tasted more like sweet and sour chicken to me but I didn't mind. - Red curry - my second favorite! It was the right amount of spice and the chicken was nice and soft. I could taste the fresh Thai basil. Ugh sooo good! - Tilapia eggplant - My favorite dish and my mom's too! The fish and eggplant were so crispy and an amazing combo! I am definitely coming back again even though I live a hour away. A must try!!!

Food: My Pad Thai in curry sauce was incredibly flavorful and at just the right spice level. My daughter, who has become a Superhero of Spice, enjoyed her hot spicy level a great deal. Portion sizes ensured that we had leftovers! Service: Staff was friendly, attentive, and regularly made sure we were doing well without seeming intrusive. Ambiance: Clean, comfortable, a little kitschy, bright colors outside. It screamed "we've been here forever". My daughter and I are planning to return in the near future!

The restaurant from the outside does not look that inviting but get over that and walk in!! The food is delicious. I've had the Mee Sua and Pho. Both great dishes! The service was quick and accurate.

7 months later and this is still my favorite Thai restaurant in Ann Arbor/Ypsi. I've ordered from Tuptim many times since my first review and I wanted to be sure to update my review with new favorites I've tried from the menu. My absolute go to orders are the green curry, pad thai and basil fried rice. I can't tell you how many times I've ordered just those three and enjoyed the heck out of this combo!! Other honorable mentions are the basil chicken, papaya salad, and the crab rangoons. Two dishes I wish were better are the pad see ewe and the drunken noodles but you typically can't have it all when it comes to your favorite dishes at every restaurant, some will do them better than others. Either way, I'm very happy to have Tuptim to order from with super solid choices to choose from!

A small bright red protrusion on an otherwise dull road! The interior seemed hectic, with only a few tables (but in many sizes--we easily sat a large group), but service was rapid. They seemed very busy, but we nevertheless got food with 10 minutes of ordering. I ate the cashew entree with tofu, which was very tasty! A little on the salty side would be my complaint. I was expecting the cashews to be soaked, like they are in curries, but it was a bit crisper--not bad, just different. I didn't get to taste other people's dishes, but my friend who brought us here (and who insistently searches for the best Thai food in every city he goes to) really likes Tumtim and brought us here, with a recommendation for the entire menu.

We've ordered takeout from this place a few times and it's always been solid. I love their see ewe noodles with beef. It's not spicey at all but that's how I order it. It's got a delicious soy glaze and the noodles are so tender and the veg gives it a nice crunch. The Tom Khama soup is always good and again, you can specify the level of spiciness you want. The chicken dumplings are a bit bland but good if you order enough sauce to dip them in. Crab cheese is good, not the best I've ever had but they're good. Tried the duck tenders for the first time. The tenders themselves were a bit dry but had a nice crunch. Definitely use the dipping sauce that comes with it... and I ordered extra sauce and found the tenders also go well with the peanut sauce and summer roll sauce. We'll be eating here again for sure
